Tennis At Whitfield Court, Kilmeadan

A gathering of people for a tennis match at Whitfield Court, Kilmeadan. The front facade of the house can be seen in the background. Whitfield Court is a detached three-bay two-storey Italianate house, built 1841 - 1843. Originally built for William Christmas (n. d.) to designs prepared by Daniel Robertson (fl. 1820 - 1849), it replaces an earlier house on site. It was occupied by the Chavasse family from the late 19th century to 1913.
