Blue Shirt Meeting, Carrick On Suir
Large crowd some on horse-back in the centre of Carrick on Suir for a meeting of the ’Blue Shirts’. The Army Comrades Association (ACA), later named the National Guard and better known by the nickname The Blueshirts, was a right-wing, quasi-fascist, Irish political organisation active in the 1930s.
