Large Crowd Attending Blue Shirt Meeting, Carrick On Suir
Large crowd attending a political meeting of the ’Blue Shirts’ in the centre of Carrick On Suir. Many people in the crowd are giving the Roman straight-arm (Fascist) salute. The Army Comrades Association (ACA), later named the National Guard and better known by the nickname The Blueshirts, was a right-wing, quasi-fascist, Irish political organisation active in the 1930s.
