24. Reverend W. Flynn, Stradbally
Portrait of Father W. Flynn who was ordained in Maynooth, but studied at Saint John’s Seminary, Waterford. Reverend W. Flynn died, 20th November 1940 in Dungarvan and was buried in Stradbally. First worked in Salt Lake City, Utah, for ten years, before returning to Ireland. Served some time in Abbeyside, then Aglish and Ballinameela. After this he spent over thenty years at Saint Mary’s Church, Clonmel, before returning to Dungarvan where he died after three years.This image was probably taken in America between 1910 - 1920.
