Ruins Of The Strand Hotel, Abbeyside
A group photographed by the burnt remains of the Strand Hotel, Strandside North, Abbeyside. The hotel was burned by the Black and Tans in retaliation for the deaths of comrades in the Burgery ambush. The ambush occurred when an I.R.A. flying column ambushed a unit of Black & Tans and R.I.C. travelling towards Dungarvan.
